On January 10, 2025, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat reviewed and disciplined party members with violations and shortcomings.
1. Comrade Duong Van An, during his tenure as Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (from October 2020 to March 2024), violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused serious consequences, great damage to the state budget, bad public opinion, and reduced the prestige of the Party organization and local government.
2. Comrade Le O Pich, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, had degraded political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused very serious consequences, angered public opinion, and negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government.
3. Comrade Ly Vinh Quang, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Executive Committee, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, had degraded political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; caused very serious consequences, angered public opinion, and negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government.
Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above-mentioned Party members, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to impose a disciplinary warning on comrade Duong Van An; the Secretariat decided to expel from the Party the following comrades: Le O Pich and Ly Vinh Quang.
Propose that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
