This morning (October 10), on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street.
The delegation included Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Party Central Committee member, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
Also participating in the delegation were Politburo members, Central Party Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations.
Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and respectfully remembered President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of our Party and people.
He devoted his whole life to the people and the country, leading our Party and people to glorious victories. The wreath of the delegation bears the inscription: "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".
Over the past 70 years, the Party and State have issued many important documents on the capital Hanoi with new visions and breakthrough thinking.
In particular, the 2024 Capital Law, recently passed by the 15th National Assembly at its 7th Session, has opened up for Hanoi to apply specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies in organizational structure, decentralization, delegation of power, mobilization and exploitation of resources, attraction and use of talents and high-quality human resources, etc., in accordance with the characteristics of Hanoi and the practical requirements of construction and development of the Capital.
With the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital, Hanoi deserves to be the national political and administrative center, a major center of culture, science, education, economy and international transactions of the whole country, praised by international friends and honored by UNESCO as "City for Peace".
Besides, Hanoi has been awarded the Gold Star Order by the State three times and given the title "Heroic Capital".
