    On November 14, the People's Council of Lao Cai province, term XVI, 2021 - 2026, voted to elect Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

    With 100% of the delegates present, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

    Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh was born in 1975, from Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.

    Professional qualifications: Doctor of Economics, majoring in Banking and Finance; political theory qualification: Senior.

    Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh used to hold the position of Director of Agribank My Dinh, Deputy General Director of Agribank, Director of the Department of Credit for Economic Sectors - State Bank of Vietnam, Deputy Head of the Delegation Work Committee under the National Assembly Standing Committee, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Delegation of the 15th National Assembly, Deputy Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term

    In December 2024, at the 21st session, the People's Council of Yen Bai province, term XIX, elected him as Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province for the 2020-2025 term.

    In July 2025, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
