Reasons why Head of Management of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park was disciplined

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee removed Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Party Secretary and Head of Management of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, from all Party positions.

On October 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced the review and disciplinary action against a number of party members and party organizations.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has disciplined Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Party Secretary and Head of Management of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, by removing him from all Party positions.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do; regulations on exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels; and violated the Law on Marriage and Family.

In addition, the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has disciplined the Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center Party Cell with a warning for the 2012-2015 and 2015-2017 terms.

This Party cell violated the Party's regulations on leadership, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of political tasks, leading to the Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center issuing documents that were contrary to the law on project investment and bidding, causing serious consequences in the 2012-2015 term and very serious consequences in the 2015-2017 term. Party members of the Party cell violated the law to the extent that they had to be prosecuted for criminal liability.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Committee also disciplined Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, former Party Secretary and former Director of Central Psychiatric Hospital 2, by expelling him from the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho violated the regulations on what party members are not allowed to do; the Party's regulations and the State's laws on leadership, management and use of State assets in directing the signing of joint venture and association contracts, and exploitation of land on the land belonging to the Psychological Counseling Center project and the project to renovate and repair the Psychological Counseling House and the guest house on the campus of the Central Psychiatric Hospital 2, causing damage to State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Committee also issued a disciplinary warning to Mr. Doan Van Son, former member of the District Party Committee Standing Committee and former Vice Chairman of the Can Gio District People's Committee. Mr. Doan Van Son violated Party regulations and State laws in assigning tasks to subordinates and in deciding to temporarily hand over land to private enterprises, causing loss of State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee consider and take disciplinary action according to its authority against Mr. Dinh Minh Hiep, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City, former Deputy Party Secretary, former Head of Management of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Zone. Mr. Hiep violated Party regulations and State laws in bidding for the project to purchase equipment for the laboratory system and environmental treatment, causing serious damage to State assets.

Mr. Doan Van Thu, former member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio District, was also proposed for consideration and disciplinary action. Mr. Thu violated Party regulations and State laws in signing and issuing the Land Use Rights Certificate, causing legal consequences.
