On the afternoon of February 19, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held the 2nd meeting of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - chaired the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien emphasized that 2025 is of special significance, the second year of implementing the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the final year of accelerating and making a breakthrough in successfully implementing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025; and at the same time, the year of organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat have concluded that the National Assembly has just closed the 9th Extraordinary Session to decide on many very important historical contents to strive to achieve an economic growth rate of 8% or more in 2025.
Rapid growth must be sustainable, maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances; harmoniously developing the economy with society and protecting the environment, ensuring national defense and security. Therefore, it is necessary to have the efforts of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army.
Mr. Do Van Chien said that according to the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front approved by the 10th Congress, the Presidium is responsible for preparing the contents to submit to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consideration and decision.
Accordingly, at this conference, the Presidium will focus on discussing and agreeing on the following contents:
Firstly, the draft regulations on the operation of the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029.
Second, the draft full-term working program of the Presidium and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029.
Third, give opinions on the report of the Standing Committee for the establishment of Advisory Councils of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029.
Fourth, the contents of personnel work according to authority.
Fifth, the program of the 3rd Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
Sixth, reflecting the thoughts, aspirations, and opinions of all classes of people.
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front suggested that delegates attending the conference promote democracy, focus on intelligence, uphold responsibility, and discuss enthusiastically the contents of the submissions prepared by the Standing Committee. On that basis, the Standing Committee will direct the completion of the acceptance and submit it to the 3rd conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consideration and decision.
