The Ministry of National Defense has just issued Consolidated Document No. 08/VBHN-BQP on the Decree detailing a number of articles of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces on the organization and construction of forces and regimes and policies for militia and self-defense forces.
Notably, Article 12 of the Decree also clearly states the standard for ensuring subsidies and food allowances for standing militia.
Accordingly, the level of allowance for working days, additional allowance for working days, and food allowance is stipulated in Point a, b, Clause 1, Article 11 of this Decree. For militia in the standing militia army, comply with the provisions of Clause 2, Article 11 of this Decree; have guaranteed accommodation and meals.

The one-time allowance for standing militia when recognized as having completed their military service in peacetime, for each year of service in a standing militia unit, they are granted a subsidy of VND 4,680,000.
In case of rare months, it is calculated as follows: Less than 1 month without a subsidy; from 1-6 months, a subsidy is received equal to 50% of the subsidy for one year of service; from 7-11 months, a subsidy is received equal to one year of service.
The level of special allowance for seafaring is prescribed in Clause 3, Article 11 of this Decree.
This Decree takes effect from August 15, 2020 and replaces Decree No. 03/2016/ND-CP dated January 5, 2016 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces.
