According to the submission of the Provincial People's Committee, in order to consider the case of Mr. Pham Minh An - former Director of the Department of Health, who violated the law higher than the level prescribed in Point b, Clause 3, Article 13 of Decree No. 08/2016/ND-CP; and was disciplined by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the form of dismissal from the position of Director of the Department of Health; at the same time, to reorganize the members of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and carry out the organizational arrangement, it is necessary to dismiss Mr. Pham Minh An from the position of Provincial People's Committee member.
In the 26th session of the 7th term of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term 2021-2026, the Provincial People's Council also passed a resolution to dismiss 9 positions of members of the Provincial People's Committee for comrades who retire or retire at will (retire early), are transferred to other jobs... as well as elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for a number of cadres.
Previously, the People's Procuracy of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued an indictment in the case of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences, lacking responsibility causing serious consequences", related to package No. 25 to purchase equipment for the Hybrid Orthopedic Trauma Surgery room at Vung Tau General Hospital.
In which, Mr. Pham Minh An was accused of being irresponsible in managing and overcharging equipment of package No. 25, causing a loss of more than 18.3 billion VND; was prosecuted for the crime of "lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".
Also prosecuted for this crime are Tran Manh Hai (born in 1977, former Deputy Head of the Department of Finance - Planning of the Department of Health); Do Huu Hai (born in 1986, Director of Son Ha Construction Consulting Company Limited).
Two other subjects were also prosecuted for violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.
