In 2024, the total state budget revenue in Hai Phong city will reach 118,000 billion VND, of which domestic revenue will reach 51,000 billion VND. The total product in the area GRDP will increase by 12.5%. The industrial production index IIP will increase by 17%. Attracting 4.5 billion USD in foreign investment. The growth rate of the total product in the area (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated at 11.01%, ranking 3rd in the country, bringing Hai Phong to the milestone of 10 consecutive years of double-digit growth.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee announced the results of the assessment of the competitiveness index at the Department, branch and local levels of Hai Phong City in 2024.
Accordingly, for the city's Department, Branch and Sector level: Hai Phong Tax Department ranked first. For the district level, Hong Bang district ranked first.
Regarding the 2024 administrative reform index of the city's departments, branches and sectors: The city Inspectorate ranked first; in the district block: Hong Bang district still ranked first.
Regarding the satisfaction index with administrative services of departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of districts in 2024, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board ranked first among the city's departments, branches, sectors, and the Hong Bang District People's Committee ranked first among districts.
Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau commended, acknowledged and praised the achievements that the City People's Committee, Departments, branches, and localities have strived to achieve in 2024.
The Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee also pointed out the limitations, bottlenecks, and bottlenecks that need to be overcome in order to create momentum for completing the socio-economic development targets in 2025 - the final year of the term and also an important year for the Party Committee and the city government. The Secretary of the City Party Committee requested that all levels and sectors focus highly on the task of building specific, outstanding, and breakthrough mechanisms and policies to create development momentum for the city; the Party Committee of the City People's Committee directed the review of current regulations on authority, to decentralize to the district level, the district level to the commune level; the City People's Committee decentralizes to the Department and sector level, so that after the arrangement, the city will have a new organizational structure with specific, clear, and scientific functions and tasks.

On this occasion, authorized by the Prime Minister, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to Hai Phong City for its outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement of the Emulation Cluster of 5 centrally-run cities.
The Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to three individuals, including Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho, for their outstanding achievements in the work of preventing, fighting, searching, rescuing, and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3.
Hai Phong City leaders awarded 10 individuals with the title "Outstanding Faces of Hai Phong City" in 2023; 39 collectives and 35 outstanding individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
