The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 1198/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Ninh Thuan province for the 2023-2025 period.
According to the resolution, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.45 km2, population of 5,200 people of My Huong ward and the entire natural area of 2.64 km2, population of 11,356 people of Tan Tai ward into Kinh Dinh ward. After merging, Kinh Dinh ward has a natural area of 3.50 km2 and a population of 24,656 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.1 km2 and population of 10,660 people of Thanh Son ward into Phu Ha ward. After merging, Phu Ha ward has a natural area of 2.4 km2 and a population of 23,957 people.
After the arrangement, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 1 commune.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Ninh Thuan province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 1 city; 62 commune-level administrative units, including 47 communes, 12 wards and 3 towns.
The Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.
The Nationalities Council, the Committees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Thuan province, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall supervise the implementation of this Resolution.
This Resolution comes into force from November 1, 2024.
