Mr. Do Van Chien is Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations

Mr. Do Van Chien was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations.

On February 6, in Hanoi, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2020-2025 term held the first (expanded) Executive Committee Conference.

Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations (Party Committee), Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the conference.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Organizations - thoroughly grasped the decisions of the Politburo:

Decision on the establishment of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations; Decision on appointing personnel to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2020-2025 term; Decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations.

Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations include Party organizations in the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations at the Central level assigned tasks by the Party and the State, and specialized advisory and support agencies, and specialized agencies of the Youth Union of the Party Committee.

The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations have the function of comprehensively leading the implementation of political tasks, organizational work, personnel work, Party building work, organization building and mass work of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass associations at the central level assigned by the Party and the State.

The Party Executive Committee consists of 29 members; the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020-2025 term consists of 12 members.

In particular, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2020-2025 term.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - was appointed to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Tran Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc - was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.

Next, the conference discussed the drafts: Proposal on the establishment of subordinate party committees; Proposal on the promulgation of the Working Regulations of the Party Executive Committee, and assignment of tasks to members of the Party Executive Committee.
