On the morning of September 27, the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Soc Trang province, term 2024 - 2029, entered a solemn session.
Attending the event were Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Soc Trang province; Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Inspection Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu - Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's Solidarity, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union Committee; leaders of departments and branches of Soc Trang province and 197 official delegates representing more than 260,000 union members and youth in the province.
At the congress, delegates elected 35 members to the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Soc Trang province. Mr. Doan Chi Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Chairman of the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Soc Trang province, term VI, was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Soc Trang province, term VII. The Vice Chairmen of the Association include Nguyen Trong Nghia, Pham Huynh Bao Tran and Dao Tan Loc.
During the last term, through the movement “I love my Fatherland”, the Association at all levels organized propaganda activities on the Party’s guidelines and policies, and the State’s laws and policies. The activities were organized in a way that emphasized education and training, promoted revolutionary traditions, and contributed to arousing and fostering national pride and the tradition of loving one’s homeland and country.
Organize many diverse activities through the Youth Creativity in Startups campaign; organize a rural youth startup idea contest; organize tours and study of youth startup models, support the development of OCOP products and support loans to replicate typical startup models.
