On the afternoon of November 14, the People's Council of Lam Dong province, term X, 2021-2026, held its 5th session.
At the session, Lam Dong Provincial People's Council reviewed, discussed and resolved many important contents related to socio-economic development, ensuring security and order, budget management and organizational work of the province in 2025 and the following years.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Council resolved to dismiss Mr. Tran Hong Thai from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021-2026, after being transferred and appointed as Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
The Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council introduced Mr. Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delegate of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, for the Provincial People's Council to elect to hold the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026.
With 110/112 votes in favor, Mr. Luu Van Trung was elected and held the position of Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026.
Mr. Luu Van Trung was born in 1974, from Hung Yen province; highly qualified in political theory, land management engineer, Master of Agriculture.
Mr. Luu Van Trung has held the position of Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Mil District People's Committee; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, term 2021-2026 (old Dak Nong province).
From July 2025 to October 2025, he will hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
At the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Mr. Luu Van Trung was appointed by the Politburo to continue holding the position of Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
At this session, the Provincial People's Council also agreed on the results of the election of additional members of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term for Mr. Hoang Van Bang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lam Dong province.
