On October 18, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed decisions approving the results of dismissal and assignment of the position of Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh approved the results of the dismissal of Mr. Le Anh Duong from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term.

At the same time, the Prime Minister also signed a Decision to assign the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term to Mr. Mai Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term until the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term is completed.

Mr. Mai Son, 50 years old, has a master's degree in Economics and a doctorate in Business Administration. Mr. Son has held positions such as Secretary of the Chairman, Secretary of Bac Giang; Secretary of Hiep Hoa District; Secretary of Bac Giang City Party Committee, before being elected Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Province in December 2020.
