On February 27, at the 9th session of the 10th Dong Thap Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Sa Dec ward - was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021 - 2026.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Dong Thap province; Mr. Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of leaders of provincial agencies and departments and 90/110 delegates of the 10th Provincial People's Council.
It is known that Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien was born in 1978, native of Ba Sao commune, Dong Thap province, is a well-trained official with a PhD in Management majoring in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and has a Senior degree in Political Theory.
Previously, Mr. Thien had held important positions such as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee (before the merger)... With in-depth knowledge combined with a wealth of practical experience, Mr. Thien is expected to create new motivation in management and promote socio-economic development in the locality in the coming period.
