Attending the decision announcement ceremony were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, along with Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh and leaders of Military Region 9.
Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung assessed that the new Secretary of Vinh Long is a cadre with basic training, matured from the grassroots, has worked in many positions in the Judiciary sector and is a strategic planning cadre of the Central Government.
In his new position, the Politburo and the Secretariat believe that the new Secretary of Vinh Long will quickly grasp the local situation, continue to promote his experience, capacity, and courage, and together with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, successfully complete the assigned tasks.
The Head of the Central Organizing Committee stated that the Politburo also requested and suggested that comrades in the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, leaders at all levels and sectors of Vinh Long continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, sharing, support, and assistance for the new Secretary to focus on leading, directing, and successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; continue to focus on building a streamlined apparatus; promote the human factor, taking people as the center.
In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary Tran Tien Dung seriously accepted all the instructions and assigned tasks from the Head of the Central Organizing Committee, and pledged to make every effort, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, and unite with the Provincial Party Committee to well implement the Party Committee's resolutions, bringing Vinh Long to continue to develop, affirming its position in the Mekong Delta region as well as the whole country.
Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Tran Tien Dung (born in 1975, hometown My Xa commune, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province), qualification: Master of Law. He has worked in the Justice sector for over 20 years and is a strategic planning officer of the Central Government. As a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots, he has held the positions of Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office and Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice.
In early 2019, Mr. Dung was appointed by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term. He was then elected Chairman of the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee and re-elected to this position for the 2021-2026 term. After a period of job rotation, Mr. Tran Tien Dung returned to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.
