At the congress, the Can Tho City Party Committee appointed 27 personnel to join the new Phuoc Thoi Ward Party Executive Committee, including 9 members of the Standing Committee. Mr. Vo Anh Huy holds the position of Secretary of the Phuoc Thoi Ward Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030; there are 2 Deputy Secretaries, Mr. Tran Van Xem and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Han.
The 1st Phuoc Thoi Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term has set 16 specific targets. Of which, 3 are economic targets; 6 are cultural - social targets; 2 are national defense - security targets; 5 are targets for Party building and the political system.
Phuoc Thoi ward was established on the basis of merging the entire administrative boundaries and population of Phuoc Thoi ward (old) and Truong Lac ward (old) according to Resolution No. 1668 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. The new ward has a natural area of 53.11 km2; population of 46,788 people. Bordered by localities: O Mon ward, Thoi An Dong ward, Phong Dien commune and Truong Thanh commune; Dong Thap province and Vinh Long province.
