On the morning of October 18, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, held its closing session.
At the closing session, on behalf of the Congress Presidium, Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Nguyen Dinh Khang reported on the results of discussions at the congress.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, most opinions expressed joy and excitement at the great achievements of the country's innovation, including the great contribution of the great national solidarity bloc.
In particular, there are some very enthusiastic opinions on education, building a learning society; training, attracting and using talents for the country's development in the new era.
To strengthen the grasp of the people's situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to express a strong and resolute voice, monitor and supervise to the end the issues that the people are still concerned about, worried about, anxious about and frustrated about. Recommend to the Government and the National Assembly to continue to better implement the feedback and response mechanism, fully implement the opinions and recommendations of the people.
It is necessary to continue researching and proposing mechanisms and policies in humanitarian charity work, assisting people affected by natural disasters and floods in accordance with reality. Focus on coordinating, reviewing, amending and supplementing regulations on support levels to be more suitable for each subject, level of damage and development conditions of society.
Participate in building a truly friendly government, close to the people, in the hearts of the people; consider the difficulties and problems of the people and businesses as their own difficulties and problems.
At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang also presented a number of recommendations and proposals from delegates to the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Propose that the Party and State have a policy to quickly resolve policies and regimes for those who participated in resistance activities and lost their documents. Continue to pay attention to increasing the monthly allowance for those with meritorious services.
Recommend that the Party and State regularly organize meetings with intellectuals, scientists, and leading experts to listen to suggestions, present opinions, viewpoints, and provide advice on important issues of the country.
Propose that the National Assembly and the Government pay attention to building mechanisms and policies to support funding and activities for social organizations; continue to perfect regulations on socialization in the work of caring for the elderly, vulnerable groups and social protection.
Propose that the Vietnam Fatherland Front continue to propose the institutionalization of the Party and State's guidelines and policies on people-to-people diplomacy. Continue to perfect policies to promote, attract and employ Vietnamese scientists and intellectuals abroad; support the construction of Vietnamese cultural centers abroad.
Recommend to the Party and State to have favorable policies for overseas Vietnamese to regain Vietnamese nationality, participate in elections, and run for National Assembly deputies.
Propose that the Vietnam Fatherland Front pay attention to recommending to the competent authorities to review, supplement and amend the inadequate regulations to better ensure the legal and legitimate rights of businessmen.
Pay attention to removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, supplementing and amending a number of laws and policies directly related to businesses, cooperatives and business households in participating in production development.
