On April 1, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat listened to reports on updating knowledge and giving opinions on completing the topic on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation under the chairmanship of General Secretary To Lam, according to VNA.
Attending the meeting were Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; and Politburo members and Secretariat members.
After listening to the Special Report on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation, General Secretary To Lam said that updating the Special Report knowledge is included in the plan and work program of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
This is a specific activity, affirming the highest determination of the Party and State leaders to successfully implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
To lead, direct and successfully organize the implementation of this Resolution, Politburo members and Secretariat members are pioneers in updating knowledge in this new, difficult and constantly changing field.
According to General Secretary To Lam, developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is a mandatory choice, the only way to develop the country and improve the lives of the people.
In the future, it must be implemented strongly to achieve the two highest goals: better social governance and going into production, increasing labor productivity.
However, up to now, it has been mainly applied to social governance, not paying due attention to including it in the production process to increase labor productivity.
In reality, private enterprises are very quick to approach these issues and organize implementation very flexibly and effectively, contributing to improving corporate governance, data management and increasing productivity and product quality. Therefore, it is necessary to stick to reality to expand approaches.
At the meeting, Politburo members and Secretariat members contributed additional opinions to complete the topic on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
Concluding the meeting, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the thematic report on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation development is very important, contributing to a full and profound understanding of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.
The General Secretary suggested that the Government accept the opinions of Politburo members and the Secretariat to continue completing the report to serve the 11th Central Conference of the 13th tenure as planned.
Among them, the report needs to focus on updating new trends in the world in science, technology, digital transformation, and innovation; at the same time, point out specific issues and solutions to implement to overcome limitations, avoid making general statements, to unify awareness and action to create the strength of the entire political system.
The General Secretary assigned the Central Office, the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation, to receive comments at the meeting, supplement and complete programs and plans to advise on the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.
