On February 27, the Government Office announced that it had just issued Notice No. 65/TB-VPCP on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc - Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management at the Steering Committee meeting on the results of price management and operation.
In the announcement, the Deputy Prime Minister requested to strengthen the effective implementation and supervision of measures to declare prices, list prices; publicize information about prices; organize inspections and examinations of compliance with price laws, strictly handle violations of price laws.
Ministries, branches and localities organize and closely monitor supply and demand developments and market prices of items under their management to have appropriate management measures, including:
For gasoline: The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to synchronously and effectively implement solutions to ensure the supply of gasoline for the domestic market in all situations and manage gasoline prices according to regulations.
Strengthen market inspection and supervision, strictly handle violations; Absolutely do not let shortages or disruptions in gasoline supply... work closely with domestic factories to grasp the supply plan for the year.
Identify appropriate import sources to ensure enough goods, avoid shortages, focus on petroleum reserves to ensure stable and timely supply in all situations.
For electricity products, medical examination and treatment services and items considered for price adjustment: The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health and ministries and branches, according to their assigned functions and tasks, proactively review price formation factors, coordinate with the General Statistics Office to carefully assess the impact on the socio-economy and price level to proactively have an adjustment plan according to their authority.
Timely submit to competent authorities to consider price adjustment plans in accordance with developments and market price items in accordance with regulations with appropriate adjustment levels and times, avoid causing congestion of cost-push inflation, creating expected inflation of the economy.
Regarding land and real estate: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities monitor and closely update land price fluctuations in the market; gradually build a database on land prices to each plot of land associated with the land database.

Regarding textbooks: The Ministry of Education and Training continues to grasp information and monitor price declaration activities of publishers and businesses to promptly find appropriate solutions according to regulations, ensuring a stable market for textbooks.
For the gold market: The State Bank of Vietnam coordinates with relevant agencies to implement effective and appropriate gold market management solutions, ensuring the gold market operates stably, publicly and transparently; strengthening inspection, examination, control, prevention and strict handling of gold smuggling.
