General Phan Van Giang affirmed that the army will continue to adjust its force organization towards being lean, compact, and strong.

Speaking to the press on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - said that in 2024, the entire army will basically complete the adjustment of the force organization towards being lean, compact, and strong according to Resolution No. 05 of the Politburo, Resolution No. 230 of the Central Military Commission on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021 - 2030 and the following years and the new policy of the Central Committee;

The entire army ensures to maintain stability, create confidence and new spirit, enhance overall strength and combat readiness, and well meet requirements and tasks in the new situation.

General Phan Van Giang affirmed that in 2025, the army will continue to adjust the organization of the force to be lean, compact, and strong according to Resolution No. 05 of the Politburo and the direction of the Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 18 on the arrangement of the apparatus of the political system "Lean - Compact - Strong - Effective - Effective - Efficient".

Actively innovate and improve the quality of training, education and training to suit the target, equip technical equipment, organize staff, and be ready to successfully respond to new forms and conditions of combat.

Actively accelerate the progress of building e-Government, military administrative reform and digital transformation in the Ministry of National Defense, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of work.

In 2025, our Party determined to prepare all conditions well to bring the country into an era of national prosperity and well-being. Accordingly, the requirements for the task of building and defending the Fatherland are increasingly higher; the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army must strive harder, promote innovation, and create breakthroughs.

For the army, in addition to improving the quality of performing tasks and regular work, ensuring readiness to fight and win, it is necessary to focus on implementing breakthroughs well, especially basically completing the adjustment of force organization, building a strong, lean, and modern army.

Along with organizing well the Party Congresses at all levels and the 12th Army Party Congress, we must best complete the task of holding a parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Speaking to the press earlier, General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense - affirmed that adjusting the organization of the force to be "lean, compact, and strong" is an inevitable, objective, and urgent requirement, meeting the requirements and tasks of building the Army in the new situation.

Up to now, the military organization has been adjusted in the direction of being lean, compact, and strong, in line with the national defense policy and people's war; improving the quality of human resources, gradually equipping new and modern weapons; having a reasonable structure and number of troops, ensuring balance and synchronization between the components of the force, with increasingly high overall quality, strength, qualifications, and combat readiness, meeting the requirements of consolidating national defense and firmly protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
