On the morning of September 23, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers (CTU) chaired and coordinated with the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, the National Assembly Office and relevant ministries and branches to organize a press conference to inform about the 2nd "Children's National Assembly" mock session in 2024.
Mr. Le Hai Long - Permanent Vice President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, said that attending the 2nd mock session of the Children's National Assembly in 2024, there were 306 delegates who were outstanding young pioneers and children from 63 provinces and cities across the country.
Among the 306 child delegates, there are 259 Kinh children and 47 ethnic minority children. In terms of academic achievements, 11 children won international awards, 28 children won national awards, 77 children won provincial/city awards, and 126 children won district/county awards.
Regarding the Team positions, 85 of them are Team Leaders, 71 are Deputy Team Leaders, 32 are Team Command Committee Members, 17 are Team Leaders, 4 are Deputy Team Leaders, and 88 are Team members.

The two topics of the meeting, “Prevention of school violence” and “Prevention of the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment,” were both chosen by the students themselves.
All 306 child delegates attending this meeting were carefully selected from two sources: the Provincial and Municipal Youth Union Councils introduced them; the children nominated themselves by creating a video clip presenting their action plan if they were selected as delegates to the meeting and the interview round.
Taking place over 3 days, this mock "Children's Parliament" session has many meaningful and practical activities.
On the first day (September 27), delegates of the Session will participate in an intimate meeting between the Young National Assembly Delegates Group, the Central Youth Union Secretariat, and the Standing Committee of the Central Youth Union Council. In the evening, delegates will visit and experience the “Quintessence of Confucianism” at the Temple of Literature.
On the second day (September 28), in the morning, delegates offered incense at the Bac Son Martyrs Monument, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; visited the National Assembly Museum; and opened the second mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" in 2024.
In the afternoon, delegates participated in discussions in 12 groups at the National Assembly Building with two topics: "Preventing school violence" and "Preventing the harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment".
On the third day (September 29), the question and answer session will take place at Dien Hong Hall of the National Assembly building. Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man will attend and give a speech at the program.
During the question and answer session, the child delegates will play the role of National Assembly delegates and key leaders of the National Assembly and the Government. During the session, the opinions and contributions of the “Children’s National Assembly” delegates will reflect the opinions, wishes and aspirations of the local child voters.
At the end of the plenary session, the children will adopt the Resolution of the session. This resolution is considered a special voter recommendation report on issues related to children.
