On the afternoon of November 12, right after the official welcoming ceremony was solemnly held at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong held talks with King Jordan Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein.
According to VNA, at the meeting, the two leaders agreed to assess that the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Jordan in recent times has been modest, not commensurate with the potential and aspirations of the leaders and people of the two countries; and agreed to take the bilateral relationship to a new stage.
On that basis, President Luong Cuong and King Jordan Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein agreed that the two sides need to strengthen political trust through delegation exchanges, especially high-level delegations; agreed to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Foreign Ministries during the visit, study and promote the early signing of agreements to establish other cooperation mechanisms, and soon send honorary consulates to each country to promote cooperation.
The king of Jordan suggested that the two Foreign Ministries be focal points for exchanging measures to promote bilateral cooperation, including harmonizing the regulations of both sides to create a favorable legal corridor for cooperation in different fields.

Based on the foundation of political trust, the two leaders agreed to promote cooperation in other important areas, including defense and security, information sharing, experts and officers exchanges between defense and security facilities to enhance mutual understanding and experience exchange in areas of mutual interest.
In the economic field, the two leaders agreed to facilitate opening up markets for each other's strengths, and at the same time encourage businesses of the two countries to study cooperation and investment capabilities, especially in the fields of infrastructure development, green economy, digital economy, telecommunications, manufacturing, agricultural processing, etc., promoting the connection of the startup and innovation ecosystem between the two countries.
The king of Jordan suggested that the two countries soon study opening a direct flight route, creating favorable conditions for issuing entry visas to citizens of both sides.
Affirming Vietnam's agricultural strength, President Luong Cuong emphasized that Vietnam is ready to increase exports of key products to Jordan.
Meanwhile, the King of Jordan expressed his willingness to support Vietnam in developing the Halal industry through supporting the sharing of information and experience in the field of Halal, the issue of Halal certification and opening the market for Vietnamese Halal products.
The two leaders also discussed measures to promote cooperation in health, which is a strength of Jordan, especially in the fields of remote medical examination and treatment, application of technology in medicine, etc.
In the field of education and training, the two sides agreed to increase student exchanges and academic exchanges, especially in emerging fields such as science - technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, affirming that this is a very potential field to open up opportunities for the younger generations of the two countries.
