The People's Committee of Lang Son province has just released a report on the results of anti -corruption and negative prevention and anti -corruption (PCTNTC) in the first quarter of 2025. Accordingly, the inspection and examination is drastically and effectively implemented, with the focus of detecting violations in financial management, construction investment, education and health.
From the beginning of the year to the end of March, 2025, the provincial authorities conducted 64 inspections and examinations, of which 47 had ended, discovered the total amount of wrongdoing up to 6,987 billion dong.
The province has proposed to recover 2,050 billion dong and in fact have recovered 1,780 billion dong. In addition, VND 274 million in administrative violations have been paid to the budget after handling 7 organizations and individuals.
In particular, PCTNTC inspections alone discovered violations of VND 345.8 million, recovering nearly VND 280 million.
In the first quarter, the provincial procedure agencies accepted 20 cases with 77 defendants related to corruption and negative. Including many concerned public opinion including the case of a bribery in the driving test at the center of Tung Linh and Minh Long with 9 defendants, including officials of the Department of Transport, there was an indictment of prosecution.
The case of making a short record in Huu Le commune, Van Quan district, the president of the commune and the accused cadres caused more than 116 million VND.
The embezzlement case at Tan Tien Primary School (Binh Gia), a teacher who appropriated 89 million VND, is awaiting trial.
The case of a bribe at the police and the Dinh Lap District Procuracy, two officials were sentenced to 2 years in prison for receiving VND 80 million to create conditions for the accused to be bail.
At the same time, many other serious cases are also being investigated such as violations at the Lang Son City Tax Department, Dong Dang Town People's Committee, Provincial Department of Health related to dozens of bidding packages or investment management violations at Nguyen Gia Cooperative (Trang Dinh) ...
Notably, a headquarters of the provincial Police Department was expelled from the Party for involving violations in the fight against corruption.
Lang Son People's Committee also said that in the second quarter, Lang Son will focus on completing the approved inspection plan; definitive handling of cases of judgment execution conditions; improve the responsibility of heads of agencies and units in the prevention and fight against corruption.
The province will also promote coordination with the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to enhance social supervision, encourage people to detect and denounce corruption and negative acts, contributing to building a clean and strong government apparatus.
