On the morning of February 17, Party Central Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha received Mr. Reha Denemec - Vice President of IC ICTAS Construction Industry and Trade Group, the General Contractor Leading the VETUR Contractor consortium to implement package 5.10 of the Long Thanh International Airport project (Long Thanh airport).
Package 5.10 is the item "Construction and installation of equipment for the Passenger Terminal project" - considered the "heart" of Long Thanh airport.
At the meeting, the Government leaders assessed IC ICTAS as a prestigious group with experience in building many airports in the world.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Government and the Prime Minister are very interested, regularly inspect, urge, and have very specific meetings to speed up progress, and soon complete the Long Thanh airport project.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that IC ICTAS and the VETUR Contractor Joint Venture will continue to work with equipment suppliers to determine the time, and may shorten the completion time for package 5.10, ensuring the highest quality, technical requirements, and economic efficiency.
"This is not only an affirmation of IC ICTAS' prestige and capacity but will become a symbol of the increasingly extensive cooperation between Vietnam and Türkiye, contributing to promoting investment, economic, trade, tourism, culture cooperation... as well as exchange activities between the people of the two countries," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Discussing the needs for developing transport infrastructure (high-speed railway, urban railway), energy infrastructure, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the approach and approach of IC ICTAS in particular and Turkish enterprises in general, when implementing transport infrastructure projects, it is necessary to create synchronous connectivity.
Regarding the Long Thanh airport project, the Deputy Prime Minister requested ACV, ministries and branches to work with IC ICTAS General contractor to agree in March 2025, on specific solutions and plans, detailing issues that need to be resolved when speeding up the completion of package 5.10, as well as coordinating the progress of other packages and component projects of the project.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes IC ICTAS will continue to have more projects in Vietnam.
Thanking Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha for taking more time, Mr. Reha Denemec affirmed that the consortium will make every effort, seek technical solutions, construct... to shorten the completion time of package 5.10.
At the same time, it hopes to realize more infrastructure projects to serve the operation and exploitation of Long Thanh airport, as well as transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam in the future.
