The Government Office has just issued Official Letter No. 9013/VPCP-CN dated September 23, 2025, conveying the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on accelerating the progress of the investment project to build Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport) phase 1.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction to continue to coordinate with ministries, People's Committees of Dong Nai province, and investors of component projects (DATP) to regularly inspect, review, and update the construction progress of construction items and packages, promptly report to the Prime Minister on the implementation results, difficulties, problems, and solutions to resolve them.

At the same time, continue to direct Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation ( VATM) to request contractors for the DATP 2 packages to supplement human resources, machinery and equipment, increase construction teams to speed up the implementation progress, ensure the progress milestones as committed.

Continue to direct the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to closely coordinate with Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VNA) to focus on completing work to serve standard flights and technical flights by December 19, 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to direct its affiliated functional agencies to focus on handling difficulties and problems to speed up the progress of supplying stone materials to the construction site from the mines under exploitation.

Timely resolve procedures for quarries that have been cleared (but cannot be exploited) to ensure sufficient material for DATP 3, to be completed in September 2025.

The People's Committee of Dong Nai province must complete and hand over the entire site to the project and complete the selection of investors to build the fuel pipeline in September 2025.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation to regularly organize inspections, review construction progress, adjust and update progress weekly for each item and package under DATP 3.

Timely organize the handling of difficulties and problems affecting construction progress; direct contractors to increase human resources and equipment, proactively gather materials, supplies, financial resources, etc., organize 3 shifts, 4 teams, and work on holidays to complete according to the committed schedule, especially for packages with large remaining volumes and at risk of being behind schedule.

Focus on prioritizing the organization of the completion of the overpass items connecting to the station; technical routes are behind schedule compared to the plan, especially routes that must be completed in advance to install equipment, water supply and drainage systems, electricity, signal lines, ... to serve the trial operation of the project.

Vietnam Airports Corporation continues to proactively coordinate with the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to remove difficulties and obstacles in providing materials, proactively seek other sources of materials for the project, and ensure the project completion progress as committed.

Regularly, strengthen inspection and supervision of the organization of exploitation by contractors at stone quarries to apply special mechanisms to ensure compliance with construction progress and compliance with legal regulations.
