On November 12, at Moc Bai International Border Gate (Tay Ninh province), Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense inspected the preparation work and chaired the general approval of the 2nd Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange.
Also attending were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, and leaders and commanders of agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense.
The atmosphere at Moc Bai International Border Gate area today is bustling, with flags, banners, and raised military lines, all of which demonstrate the spirit of readiness for the friendly exchange festival between the army and people of Vietnam and Cambodia.
The working group of the Ministry of National Defense inspected and re-reviewed the following contents: Official welcoming ceremony for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense of Cambodia; planting friendship trees; joint military drill between the two armies; inauguration ceremony of the Ben Cau Primary Boarding School Classroom (Thuan Lam Hamlet, Ben Cau Commune, Tay Ninh Province) and the Rededication Ceremony of the Residential Cluster on both sides of the border between Long Cuong Hamlet, Long Thuan Commune, Tay Ninh Province with O Ta Mo Hamlet, Mo No rum Commune, Svay Teap District, Svay Rieng Province.
The delegation also inspected preparations to serve the delegates of the two countries' defenses to visit the Traditional House of Division 5 (Military Region 7), and the organization of talks and signing of bilateral defense cooperation documents.
Speaking at the rehearsal, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien praised the agencies, units and localities for their close coordination and careful preparation for all aspects of the event. He requested the units to continue to complete all preparations and organize drills according to the program, ensuring a vibrant and brilliant reception and decoration ceremony, solemnly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and friendship between the army and people of the two countries.
The Senior General also requested Military Region 7 to direct close coordination with forces to organize patrols, protect, and guide traffic, ensuring absolute security and safety for the event.
At the rehearsal, the Vietnam People's Army Honor Guard, military and student forces of the two countries participated in the performance, contributing to creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere of solidarity and friendship.
The 2nd Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange is a key defense foreign activity in 2025, with special significance in strengthening solidarity and friendship, promoting substantive and effective cooperation between border management and protection forces, local authorities and people in the border areas of the two countries.
The event contributes to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing Vietnam - Cambodia border; at the same time, it is an important foreign information activity, promoting the image of Vietnam, a peace-loving, friendly and friendly Vietnam with neighboring countries to domestic cadres, soldiers, people, overseas Vietnamese and international friends.
