Concluding after 3 days of the 20th Session of the 13th Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, on the afternoon of December 12, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung commented that 2025 is a year of special importance, a year of preparation to bring our country into a new era, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
The Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee said that the tasks in 2025 are "extremely heavy". Because this is the year to drastically implement the work of arranging and streamlining the organization of the political system.
"The work of arranging and organizing the apparatus of the political system must ensure streamlining - compactness - strength - effectiveness - efficiency," Mr. Ho Quoc Dung suggested.
According to the Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, the province has 20 departments and branches, of which 12 departments and branches are subject to merger. The remaining departments and branches will continue to review to reduce the number of focal points, following the motto of both reducing departments and branches and reducing focal points.
"When you reorganize, some people will stay, some will go, and some will have to be reduced. No matter what position you are assigned, you must make an effort. I suggest that department directors with the spirit of determination to devote themselves to their homeland, do not think twice and then falter," Mr. Ho Quoc Dung advised.
The Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee proposed to review and grasp revenue sources, ensure correct, sufficient and timely collection to the state budget; strengthen inspection and examination work, prevent revenue loss and urge the collection of tax arrears.
"The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province shall review and rearrange public assets, handle assets that are no longer needed in accordance with regulations; resolutely recover assets used by the wrong subjects or for the wrong purposes; and prevent waste and loss of public assets," Mr. Ho Quoc Dung requested.
The Secretary of Binh Dinh province also realized that each stage of work is still being avoided due to fear of making mistakes and responsibility.
"If we continue to be afraid, avoid, and push back and forth, projects will take not just 1 year, but 5-7 years to start. We must be determined, focus on overcoming difficulties, and be ready to join the whole country in entering a new era, an era of national growth," said Mr. Ho Quoc Dung.
At this session, the People's Council of Binh Dinh province reviewed and approved 90 reports; issued 58 resolutions.
