Inflationary pressure is still high

In his concluding remarks, the Prime Minister summarized the socio-economic situation in July and the first 7 months of 2024, continuing the positive trend, in general the results in July were higher than in June and overall the 7 months were better than with the same period in 2023 in most fields.
Besides the results achieved, the Prime Minister pointed out that the socio-economic situation still has difficulties and challenges.
In particular, inflationary pressure is still high, especially due to sharp fluctuations in crude oil and food prices; The world's financial, currency, and real estate markets are still risky; Although global growth, trade and investment forecasts tend to recover, there are still many potential risks.
The production and business situation in some fields and access to credit capital are still difficult. The real estate market is initially stable, but difficulties and problems are still slow to be resolved. The implementation of the 140,000 billion VND credit package for social housing is very slow; There is still 26,500 billion VND of unallocated public investment capital.
Proactive solutions to ensure balance between labor supply and demand
Regarding tasks and solutions in the coming time, the Prime Minister emphasized the following key contents:
The State Bank (SBV) focuses on stabilizing exchange rates and the foreign exchange market; increase access to credit capital, focus on priority areas, strive for yearly credit growth of about 15%; Continue to reduce lending rates.
The Ministry of Finance strives to increase revenue, save expenses, drastically implement digital transformation, apply electronic invoices in revenue management; Thoroughly save on regular expenses. Effectively deploy policies to extend, exempt, and reduce taxes, fees, and charges.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment presides over the implementation of public investment projects and 3 national target programs, promoting private investment; strengthen public-private cooperation; selectively attract FDI.
Urgently allocate 26,500 billion VND of remaining public investment capital; Resolutely transfer capital to tasks and projects with quick disbursement and need for additional capital before August 15, 2024.
The Prime Minister also requested to focus on the fields of culture, society and environment; ensure social security and people's lives.
