At the ceremony, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Colonel Tran Dinh Lien - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police awarded the title "Emulation Fighter of the entire People's Public Security Force" for the period 2021-2023 to Colonel Nguyen Van Tang - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police.
On the same day, Colonel Tran Phong - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hung Lam - Deputy Head of Hai Chau District Police.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hung Lam has made outstanding achievements in dismantling Project No. 293D, fighting against the illegal drug trafficking ring.
Previously, in March, Hai Chau District Police established and eliminated phase 1 of Project 293D, caught Tran Kim Hoan (52 years old, residing in Do Luong district, Nghe An) red-handed for "Illegal transportation of drugs", seized 1 kg of ketamine, 2,110 ecstasy pills, and 5 fragments of ecstasy pills.

Also last week, on October 8, the Ministry of Public Security organized a public consultation on the award consideration: Awarding the title "National Emulation Fighter" to Colonel Tran Thanh Son - Deputy Director of Son La Provincial Police.
Colonel Tran Thanh Son - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department is known by his teammates as the "steel leader" of the Son La Police Department. In 1997, Mr. Tran Thanh Son graduated from the Criminal Investigation major of the People's Police University (now the People's Police Academy).
During his working process, Mr. Tran Thanh Son directly experienced many different working positions. During his 5 years of secondment, working at the Office of Son La Provincial Party Committee, he advised the Son La Provincial Party Committee on many policies in drug prevention and control.
Having held many positions, from November 2022 to present, Mr. Son is Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, Head of the Investigation Police Agency.
Colonel Tran Thanh Son was awarded the First, Second and Third Class Military Exploit Medal by the President and a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievements in the fight against crime; along with many certificates of merit from all levels and sectors.
