On the same day, General Secretary and President To Lam presented a decision to promote the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General for comrade Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
General Nguyen Tan Cuong was born in 1966, his hometown is Tien Ngoai commune, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province.
