According to the decision, the inspection period of the two projects of Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2, is from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2024; if necessary, it can be considered before or after the above period.
The inspection period is 40 working days (excluding Sundays, holidays and Tet) from the date of announcement of the inspection decision.
The Inspection Team has 11 members, including Mr. Ngo Dinh Long, Deputy Director of Department III of the Government Inspectorate, as Head of the Team.
Previously, at the 27th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption, waste and negativity held on December 31, 2024, General Secretary To Lam requested an inspection and conclusion on the Bach Mai Hospital project, branch 2, and Viet Duc Hospital, branch 2 in Ha Nam, to be completed before March 31, 2025.
According to Lao Dong reporter's investigation, at the end of 2014, the second facility of Bach Mai and Viet Duc Hospitals in Phu Ly City (Ha Nam) began construction.
Of which, Bach Mai Hospital's Facility 2 has a hospital scale of 1,000 beds, total floor area of 118,941m2. Total investment is 4,990 billion VND, state budget capital is 4,500 billion VND and other sources.
Facility 2 of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital has a scale of 1,000 beds, total floor area of 117,714m2. Total investment is 4,968 billion VND, state budget capital is 4,500 billion VND and other sources.
Once expected to be an effective solution to reduce overload at central hospitals in the North, however, to date, these two medical facilities have yet to open. The infrastructure at the two facilities has been left unused and wasted for many years.
