In the first 6 months of 2025, despite many difficulties, the City Inspectorate has made efforts to innovate, unite, and effectively implement work according to the direction of the Government Inspectorate, central ministries and branches and the direction of the city. Inspections and examinations are conducted publicly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations, contributing to detecting and strictly handling violations and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management.
The whole industry has conducted 652 inspections and examinations (including 100 administrative inspections, 552 specialized inspections and examinations); detected violations of over VND 79.8 billion, recovered nearly VND 20 billion; issued 215 decisions to sanction administrative violations with a total amount of nearly VND 17.8 billion, recovered over VND 5.9 billion to pay to the budget.
The work of receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations has been paid attention to and implemented vigorously. The whole city has received 4,329 citizens with 3,115 cases, including 73 large groups. The Inspectorate resolved 271/410 cases under its authority, reaching a rate of 66.1%. Coordination in handling petitions continues to be strengthened, including complicated and crowded cases.
The City Inspectorate has also promoted the role of the Standing Committee of the Working Group under Decision No. 1837-QD/TU of the City Party Committee, advising on the final settlement of 9 long-standing cases according to the plan of the Government Inspectorate.
Corruption prevention and control work has achieved many positive changes. The City Inspectorate advised the City People's Committee to issue a plan to verify assets and income at 22 units with 52 cases; receive 4,154 asset declarations and store them in accordance with regulations.
In the last 6 months of 2025, the City Inspectorate will focus on completing inspections according to plan, avoiding overlap, improving quality and efficiency. Along with that, strengthen supervision and post-inspection handling; promptly and legally resolve complaints and denunciations; step up legal dissemination on inspection, complaints, denunciations, and corruption prevention; deploy effective models and methods, promptly commend collectives and individuals with achievements. At the same time, continue administrative reform, apply information technology, and digital transformation in inspection activities.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan suggested that in the coming time, the City Inspectorate should quickly put the reorganized apparatus into effective operation, focusing on performing well the task of inspection, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations and preventing and combating corruption and negativity. The City Inspectorate advised the City People's Committee to effectively implement state management of citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations to serve important political events; continue to synchronously implement regulations on corruption prevention and control; promote administrative reform, apply information technology and digital transformation in inspection activities.
On this occasion, the City Inspectorate received the Emulation Flag of the Chairman of the City People's Committee; many collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in inspection, citizen reception and complaint and denunciation settlement.
