The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment are merged into the District Department of Agriculture and Environment.This department receives all the functions and tasks of the two old departments and the functions and tasks of poverty reduction from the district Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
The People's Committee of Binh Giang district (Hai Duong province) also established the District Department of Culture, Science and Information on the basis of receiving all functions and tasks of the District Department of Culture and Information and the functions and tasks of science and technology from the District Department of Economics and Infrastructure.
