The Prime Minister chaired a conference with localities to promote tasks and solutions to ensure the achievement of the growth target of 8% or more in 2025.

On the morning of February 21, the Government Conference with localities implementing the conclusions of the Central Government, Resolutions of the National Assembly, and the Government on economic growth was held online.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Deputy Prime Ministers co-chaired the Conference. Attending were leaders of ministries, branches and 63 localities at all online levels.

This is the first conference between the Government and localities after the Government was completed after the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly (which just closed on February 19).

At this session, the National Assembly voted to pass the National Assembly Resolution supplementing the socio-economic development plan for 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more. The GDP scale in 2025 will reach about 500 billion USD.

Previously, at the Conference held on January 23-24, 2025, the 13th Party Central Committee basically agreed with the content of the Project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more and the tasks and implementation solutions submitted by the Government Party Committee.

Today, the Government held a conference with all localities to review and promote tasks and solutions to ensure achieving the growth target of 8% in 2025, creating a premise for double-digit growth in the coming period.

On February 5, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP on growth targets for sectors, fields and localities to ensure the national growth target of 8% or more in 2025.

The Red River Delta has 6/11 provinces and cities: Quang Ninh (12.0%), Hai Duong (10.2%), Hai Phong city (12.5%), Ha Nam (10.5%), Nam Dinh (10.5%), Ninh Binh (12.0%);
