On the morning of November 28, in Da Nang, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vietnam Logistics Forum (VLF) 2025 organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Speaking at the Forum, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh clearly stated the role of logistics.
"Logistics plays a key role in storing, preserving, and circulating goods and is one of the pillars to promote growth, promote national competitiveness; reduce costs, increase product competitiveness... Therefore, the role of logistics is very important. Especially in the context of globalization, in the context of our current extensive, substantial and effective international integration," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Prime Minister also pointed out 5 bright spots when Vietnam implements the Party's policies and the State's laws on logistics. The Prime Minister emphasized 8 important tasks for all levels, sectors and localities to focus on implementing specific tasks.
In particular, the Prime Minister requested to perfect institutions and policy mechanisms; logistics planning work to ensure stability, synchronization, transparency, feasibility; developing green, digital, smart, modern logistics infrastructure; training human resources; building a mechanism to mobilize resources to develop logistics; logistics management must be smart; developing logistics services; connecting Vietnam's logistics with regional and international logistics systems; applying science and technology, innovation, digital transformation in developing the logistics industry.
To implement the above requirements, the Prime Minister assigned tasks to ministries, departments, branches and localities. The Ministry of Industry and Trade urgently guides the implementation of service development, logistics strategy development for 2025 - 2035 and vision to 2050; The Ministry of Finance must improve the organization and operation mechanism of the National Steering Committee on the ASEAN one-stop mechanism, the national one-stop mechanism and facilitate trade development.
The Ministry of Construction must continue to take the lead in closely developing logistics infrastructure planning, such as transport infrastructure, climate change prevention infrastructure, etc. Ministries and branches focus on building logistics databases.
For Da Nang City and other provinces and cities that are implementing some pilot projects such as Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, the Prime Minister requested that localities must develop free trade zones.
In addition, the Prime Minister also requested that logistics investment cooperation be needed in the spirit of equality, mutual development, mutual benefit, mutual responsibility towards society, workers and ensuring environmental sanitation, harmonious benefits, and shared risks.
As for the Government, the Prime Minister said that the Government must play a role in creating and ensuring political stability, social order and safety to create a favorable environment for investment and logistics development.
The Government continues to strongly shift from the mindset of " tight management" to "creating development, serving people and businesses"; promote the removal of difficulties and implement three strategic breakthroughs: perfecting institutions, developing infrastructure, training high-quality human resources.
Along with that, it is necessary to promote green - digital supply chains; build a transparent and fair investment environment; do a good planning to expand development space; and protect all legitimate creativity, not institutionalize economic relations.
The Prime Minister hopes that the logistics business community will continue to innovate governance, link chains, promote digital transformation, green transformation, and build a modern industry. At the same time, promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, innovation, solidarity and cooperation.
"Only solidarity is the strength. Only by cooperation can there be resources and dialogue can there be trust. Let's reach out to the region and the world. The Vietnam Logistics Service Business Association, the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association and local logistics associations play a bridging role, providing policy comments, supporting training, promoting trade and logistics services to international markets. We try to do these things" - the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Prime Minister said that Vietnam has an advantage for the logistics industry to develop. Our geographical, economic and geopolitical location is very important, with great potential to lead the region in this issue.
"But we must have a long-term vision, look wide and think deeply to make big. And there must be a spirit of turning things from nothing, turning things from difficult to easy, turning things that cannot be into things that can be done. dare to think dare to do at this point; with the spirit of a resource originating from thinking and vision. The motivation comes from innovation and creativity. Sources originate from people and businesses. We know how to promote intelligence, value time and make timely decisions" - the Prime Minister emphasized.
