On the afternoon of August 23, Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , Head of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee of the Party's 14th National Congress, chaired the third session of the Subcommittee.
Attending the meeting were: Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh; Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien; Members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, leaders of ministries, branches, central agencies, and leaders of localities are members of the Subcommittee; Standing Editorial Team of the Subcommittee.

The meeting aimed to review the work of the Subcommittee, identify key tasks in the coming time and give comments on the draft report evaluating the 5-year implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, directions, socio-economic development tasks for the 5 years 2026-2030, before reporting to the Politburo for opinions to submit to the 10th Central Conference, term XIII.
After the second session, the Subcommittee proactively and actively made efforts to deploy and complete many work contents to ensure progress and quality.
In particular, the 9th Central Conference was submitted to approve the detailed outline of the socio-economic report; develop a draft socio-economic report; Research, compare and update the content of the draft political report according to the principle that the political report is the central report, the socio-economic report is the thematic report.
At the same time, review the content according to the direction of the Central Government and seriously implement the instructions of General Secretary and President To Lam at the Standing Document Subcommittee meeting.
The Sub-Committee has organized survey working groups and worked with 4 regions: Northern Midlands and Mountains, Red River Delta, North Central and Central Coast, Central Highlands; Research valuable reports, proposals and recommendations from local practices through working sessions in regions and in-depth research topics of a number of ministries and branches on important fields, key.
On August 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Standing Subcommittee with the Standing Editorial Team of the Subcommittee.
At this meeting, the Standing members of the Subcommittee had many comments that were received and updated into the draft report to be presented to the plenary session of the Subcommittee.
