On January 11, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 of Vietnam Television (VTV).
According to VTV, in his speech at the conference, the Prime Minister emphasized that over the years, Vietnam Television has affirmed its position as a national television station - a multimedia communications agency, successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Party and the State.
Vietnam Television has done a good job in propagating, spreading, and calling on the forces and strength of the entire nation in preventing and overcoming the consequences of typhoon Yagi.
Vietnam Television has mobilized all possible resources to go to places where storms and widespread natural disasters are taking place with many unique, diverse and elaborate programs, leaving behind images of people fighting on the front lines with the Police and Military forces.
Vietnam Television has also comprehensively and promptly promoted foreign information activities on the country's situation and foreign affairs activities of Party and State leaders. 2024 is a record year for our country to welcome international delegations and also a record for the number of business trips of our Party and State leaders.
Through this, the Prime Minister acknowledged the hard work of reporters, editors and staff of Vietnam Television.
The Prime Minister also highly appreciated the TV series produced by Vietnam Television which have attracted many Vietnamese people to watch Vietnamese films with Vietnamese stories, promoting the values and identity of national culture.
Vietnam Television has focused on digital transformation, technology application, investment in modern facilities, meeting production requirements on the 4.0 platform, contributing to the country's industrialization and modernization.
Vietnam Television also promotes the development of the VTVgo digital television platform, automating production processes...
The Prime Minister also highly appreciated other activities of Vietnam Television such as building facilities, organizing television festivals, etc.
Vietnam Television has overcome difficulties, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, taken care of workers' lives, and continued to encourage human resource development.
Vietnam Television has also coordinated well with localities to spread and promote the image of the locality nationwide and internationally. VTV4 channel has conveyed domestic news to the community of over 6 million Vietnamese people abroad.
"You have had a year of working very enthusiastically and tirelessly, with all your heart, virtue and responsibility, always innovating and creating with a spirit of patriotism, love for the profession and love for people" - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated.
The Prime Minister said that Vietnam Television has shown responsibility and determination in rebuilding Nu Village through the Tam Long Viet Fund, doing a good job in social security, helping to ease the pain of people affected by natural disasters.
Vietnam Television was the first unit to do this work and then many other units also responded to participate.
