Reporting at the ceremony, EVN General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is a national key project that has been approved for investment by the Prime Minister. This is a 500kV dual-circuit power line project with a total length of 229.5 km, with a total of 468 electric pole foundation locations. The project passes through 4 provinces including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc. The project has a total investment of more than VND 7,410 billion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and praised the efforts and striving to improve the efficiency of EVN's general activities, especially in a short time when large tasks and projects have been completed.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, agencies and localities to continue promoting lessons learned from the 500kV line 3 project Quang Binh - Hung Yen in managing and organizing the implementation of this project and large projects, works as well as socio-economic activities.
Accordingly, the management, leadership, management, direction and command work must be clear-minded, with high determination, great effort, drastic action, focus, key points, and work according to the spirit. Synchronous, tight, and effective combination between central and local resources, between state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, enterprises and large contractors must cooperate, share, and support small enterprises and local contractors. Regarding progress, the Prime Minister requested that construction be completed within 6 months, must be completed by August 31, 2025, contributing to promoting growth, completing the set goals and targets, practically celebrating major holidays and important anniversaries in 2025, welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.
Call for response to emulation movements by the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor
Launching the emulation program, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that for the "Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project", the emulation goal is to complete the following important progress milestones:
Complete the foundation casting work in May 2025. Complete the column installation in July 2025. Complete the rolling and spreading of the rope in August 2025. Complete the project's energization on August 31, 2025.
To achieve the above goals, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor called on: "All union members and workers participating in the construction site respond to the emulation movement, overcome all difficulties and challenges of the weather, working conditions, promote initiatives and creativity in labor, determined to ensure progress, safety and economy.
Contractors and construction units have arranged sufficient resources, materials, equipment, and labor to speed up progress, ensure safety and quality of the project.
Media agencies need to step up propaganda, spread the spirit of emulation, and encourage the determination of cadres, engineers, and workers participating in EVN's key projects in 2025.
