Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes to soon make specific progress in the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong standard gauge railway project.

On February 26, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Chinese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Wei Dong, who is visiting Vietnam and attending the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and key leaders of Vietnam to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang and key leaders of China.

The Prime Minister welcomed, highly appreciated and believed that the participation of the Chinese delegation would contribute positively to the success of the ASEAN Future Forum.

Based on the positive developments in the development trend of Vietnam - China relations in recent times, the Prime Minister hopes that the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs will further promote their role as the standing agency of the Steering Committee for Vietnam - China bilateral cooperation, promote high-level and all-level exchanges between the two Parties and the two countries; coordinate in all fields, especially the implementation of infrastructure connection projects, in which specific progress will be made in the construction of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong standard gauge railway project, speed up exchanges to soon sign the Protocols on Vietnamese agricultural exports to China; effectively implement friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries, especially the younger generation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also hopes that the two sides will seriously implement the high-level common perception, control disagreements well, and maintain peace and stability at sea.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Ton Wei Dong, expressed his agreement with the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on promoting the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.

The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that the Party and Government always consider the relationship with Vietnam as a priority in China's neighborly foreign policy; the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, deploy the common perceptions of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, promote further deepening cooperation in various fields, contributing to the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future in constant depth, becoming more effective and substantial, bringing practical benefits to the two countries and the people of the two countries.
