Prime Minister to attend ASEAN Summit in Laos

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Vientiane, Laos.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on the afternoon of October 3, at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, ASEAN Chair 2024 Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Vientiane, Laos, from October 8 to 11.

The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits will take place from October 8-11 in the Lao capital Vientiane.

As planned, the series of summits will include about 20 activities, held at the National Convention Center of Laos, with the participation of leaders of ASEAN countries and partners, along with many guests representing international and regional organizations.

This is the most important series of summits of the year for ASEAN, an opportunity for leaders of ASEAN countries and partners to exchange and make strategic decisions to strengthen the community building process, promote relations between ASEAN and partners, as well as discuss many issues of concern both regionally and globally.

It is expected that about 80 documents will be adopted or recorded by leaders at the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits.
