Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam is committed to always accompanying and listening to the opinions of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

On the afternoon of October 7, at Hanoi National University, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Founder and Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Professor Klaus Schwab, had an exchange with Vietnamese students and youth on the topic "Positioning Vietnam in the era of smart technology - Vision for the young generation".

According to VNA, at the exchange, Professor Klaus Schwab shared an overview of the forces shaping the world, with many more complex and changing factors, bringing both challenges and opportunities to all countries, including Vietnam.

The WEF President emphasized that young people are the future of Vietnam and the changes being discussed are the factors that will shape their careers, opportunities and lives; the smart age is not just an abstract concept, it is a reality in which young people of Vietnam will live, work and study.

Emphasizing that, in addition to technology, the real opportunity still lies in the human factor, Professor Klaus Schwab said that Vietnamese students and youth not only equip themselves with knowledge, skills, and professional capacity, but also with the environment, society, geopolitical advantages, and international obligations - all of which are important factors for a prosperous and inclusively developed society...

Agreeing with Professor Klaus Schwab on the comprehensive, inclusive approach, reflecting the development trend of the new era when mentioning the "smart era", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that intelligence is not simply the explosive development of new technology but also connects and resonates in many other broad aspects including: Intelligence in economic development, intelligence in developing and handling social issues, intelligence in dealing with the environment, intelligence in political relations and international cooperation..., the smart era must be an era of development for people, serving people, taking people as the center and subject.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is committed to always accompanying and listening to the opinions of the World Economic Forum, the business community, young people and students, experts and scientists related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, on innovation so that we can firmly step into the smart era.

The Prime Minister suggested that President Klaus Schwab and the WEF have more initiatives to support and create conditions for students and young people in developing countries, including Vietnam, to have more opportunities to access and master advanced technologies through WEF programs and projects.

At the program, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Professor Klaus Schwab shared and answered many questions from students about Vietnam's development orientation and the role and responsibility of young people in the smart era, emphasizing the importance of the young generation of Vietnam contributing to the country's development.
