On the afternoon of April 16, the Executive Committee of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee held a conference to give opinions on the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units in Ha Nam province.
According to the plan, Ha Nam province will reduce from 98 commune-level administrative units to 33 commune-level administrative units (16 wards, 17 communes), a reduction of 66.3% of the number of communes.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province - requested functional agencies and localities to collect public opinions on the plan to merge commune-level administrative units expected from April 21 to 23, taking into account households.
The Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee requested that the city Party Committees, city Party Committees, and district Party Committees review all facilities under their management to report on the plan to arrange headquarters for new administrative units after the merger, to avoid waste. Review all basic construction debts to report and review all staff to arrange in new communes and wards.
In addition, the implementation of the merger policy in a very short and urgent time but still has to carry out other political tasks of the locality, therefore, requiring leaders of departments, branches and localities not to be negligent is a task.
