On March 2, Hanoi City Police held a conference to disseminate and deploy a number of key contents and tasks after streamlining the organizational apparatus.
According to Hanoi City Police, implementing the decision of the Ministry of Public Security, from March 1, 2025, the City Police has dissolved 30 district-level police and affiliated organizations (except for the Police Station); merged the Security Police Department and the Mobile Police Regiment into the Mobile Police Department.
At the same time, the City Police deployed 30 facilities located in districts, towns and cities to carry out tasks and assigned 1 Deputy Chief of Staff to directly charge the facilities.
Up to now, Hanoi City Police has basically completed the consolidation of the organizational apparatus according to the new model and received a number of important tasks transferred from other departments and branches to the police force.
This is an important step, in which the Capital Police are always pioneers, exemplary, taking the lead, and proactively implementing the contents.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director in charge of the operation of Hanoi City Police, requested units to urgently get to work; organize meetings, discuss, assign specific and detailed tasks to each officer and soldier; strengthen inspection work, promptly detect and rectify units, and put work into order.
For professional departments according to the force system, it is necessary to focus on guiding the Commune-level Police to implement according to decentralization, not to let any areas or fields be left vacant, or cases or subjects fall through; review all topics, plans, assignments, and decentralization of work to advise on adjustment, supplementation, and completion to ensure suitability, connectivity, and synchronization with the new model from the City to the commune level...
Regarding the new tasks transferred from departments and branches, relevant units urgently develop a plan for in-depth training and coaching for cadres, closely coordinate with inter-sectoral agencies so that the reception is carried out smoothly, serving the people well; propose timely equipment for specialized equipment for work, ensuring the fastest operation...
In particular, regarding criminal proceedings, crime prevention and control, execution of judgments and judicial support, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung requested the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police and other units to continue to strictly implement the work of receiving reports and denunciations about crimes;
Urgently guide investigators and investigating officers to carry out procedures for assigning Deputy Heads and Investigators of the City Police Investigation Agency; advise the City Police leaders to review, amend, and issue legal documents, in accordance with the organization of the Investigation Police Agency related to receiving, classifying, and inspecting, verifying preliminary denunciations and reports on crimes of the Commune-level Police, resolving denunciations and reports on crimes and investigating criminal cases of investigators and investigating officers at the Commune-level Police of the City Police;
Strictly implement regulations on detention, execution of sentences...; do not leave legal gaps when not implementing the model of the District-level Investigation Police Agency.
