The program was organized by the Central Propaganda Department in Ho Chi Minh City with the theme "Aspiration - Pioneer". Attending the program were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia.
The event honored 17 individuals and 12 outstanding models, who are cadres, party members, soldiers, doctors, intellectuals, workers, farmers, religious dignitaries, and ethnic minorities from the southern provinces.
The program has spread stories of efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, and contributions to the community. One of the notable examples is Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Van (76 years old), Head of the Women's Charity Group in Ward 2, Ben Tre City. With more than 10 years of operation, Ms. Van and the members of the group have cut and sewn over 700 blankets and 18 blankets with pictures of Vietnam's map to give to soldiers on the islands, while also supporting the construction of charity houses, giving gifts to families with preferential policies and poor children overcoming difficulties.
In addition to Ms. Van, the program also honored Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Huong, a lecturer at the International University, VNU-HCM. Ms. Huong founded the Brain Health Lab, creating an advanced academic environment, helping students access research and winning many national and international scientific awards. These are valuable contributions to the development of science and education in the country.
Speaking at the program, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the typical examples honored are those who dare to face challenges, take drastic actions to spread good values in society. Head of Central Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia also hopes that cadres and party members will always be pioneers, exemplary, creative, leading the community to overcome difficulties and develop the country sustainably.
"The program "Aspiration - Pioneer" is not only an opportunity to honor shining examples but also an opportunity to spread the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality to all classes of people, contributing to building a better society," emphasized Head of Central Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia.
