General Secretary and President To Lam witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents between Vietnamese and Irish organizations and enterprises.

Vietnam News Agency reported that within the framework of his State visit to Ireland, on October 3, in the capital Dublin, right after meeting with Irish businesses, General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents between Vietnam and Ireland.

Professor, Dr. Le Quan, Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Ms. Dolores O'Riordan, Deputy Director of Global Affairs, University College Dublin, Ireland, signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement to promote cooperation in training, scientific research and exchange of staff, lecturers and students.

Chairman of FPT Vietnam Corporation Truong Gia Binh and Professor Cathal Gurrin, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Computer Science, Director of the ADAPT Research Centre, University of Dublin, presented the Minutes of Cooperation Discussion between FPT University and the ADAPT Research Centre, University of Dublin on developing high-tech human resources.

FPT Corporation and the ADAPT Research Center, University College Dublin will cooperate in training high-tech human resources in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). University College Dublin will send lecturers to Vietnam to train AI for students of FPT University Da Nang and organize seminars to exchange teaching experiences with young lecturers of FPT University, at the same time provide scholarships for doctoral training in AI for young lecturers of the University and short-term internship courses for students majoring in AI of FPT University.

Next, FPT Corporation General Director Nguyen Van Khoa and Mr. Chris Davis, CEO of Kyndryl Ireland, presented the Framework Agreement between FPT Corporation and Kyndryl Technology Company on cooperation in the field of digital transformation and AI application development.

The two sides will discuss signing a framework agreement to cooperate in developing AI technology applications and digital transformation for customers in the banking, insurance, retail sectors... in Ireland. Previously, FPT and Kyndryl have cooperated to expand their customer base in markets such as the US, Japan, UK, and Germany.

Next, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Vice Chairman of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company and Mr. Sankalp Garg, Managing Director and Head of Asia-Pacific of Castlelake Aviation Company, presented the Framework Agreement between Vietjet and Castlelake Aviation on aircraft leasing. Accordingly, Castlelake will provide finance for 4 new, modern A321neo aircraft in the current aircraft order of Vietjet and Airbus.

The aircraft will be delivered in 2024. This transaction follows the financing agreement completed in 2023 for three Airbus A321neo aircraft. It also establishes a foundation for future cooperation on other financing arrangements for Vietjet’s rapidly growing fleet.
