On the afternoon of October 16, 2024, General Secretary and President To Lam and the Central Working Delegation worked with the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels in conjunction with socio-economic development, ensuring security and defense, Party building and the political system, according to VNA.
The delegation included Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security. Also joining the delegation was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
Previously, on the morning of October 16, General Secretary and President To Lam and the Central Working Delegation visited and surveyed the lives of officials and people living and working in Con Co island district.
On this occasion, General Secretary and President To Lam and the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at Uncle Ho's Memorial House and the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on the heroic Con Co Island.
The General Secretary and President presented gifts to families of people and officers and soldiers living and working on the island, and presented Con Co island district with some essential medical equipment for medical examination and treatment.
