At the invitation of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping will visit the State level to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from April 14 to April 15.
The visit took place in the context of this year Vietnam and China celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (18.1.1950 - 18.1.2025).
Earlier, on January 15, 2025, General Secretary To Lam talked to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, and announced the launch of the Vietnam -China humanistic exchange year 2025; agreed to coordinate well organize activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the year of Vietnam -China Humanities Exchange 2025; Promote propaganda and education in people of all classes, especially the younger generation of the two countries on the good traditional friendship of Vietnam - China.
The two general secretaries of the two Party agreed to continue to strengthen the strategic exchange between the two parties and the two countries, especially the high -level exchanges with a strategic orientation for the overall bilateral relationship; improve the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms on the Party, Government, National Assembly/Humanity, Fatherland Front/Chinh Hiep; Promoting national defense and security cooperation is commensurate with the role of being one of the important pillars of bilateral relations; Creating new breakthroughs in economic cooperation, prioritizing accelerating the connection of 3 standard triggers between the two countries, expanding trade and investment cooperation and investment in emerging areas.
At the phone call, General Secretary To Lam respectfully invited comrade Xi Jinping and his wife to soon visit Vietnam in 2025. General Secretary and President Xi Jinping thanked and happily accepted the invitation.
