On the morning of December 2, 2025, in the capital Vientiane, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife attended the inauguration ceremony of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Park.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that this is an event of special significance, marking a new step forward in the relationship between the two Parties and the two States, deepening the solidarity, special trust, affection and affection between comrades and brothers of Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam.
In the coming time, in order for the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Park to become a valuable, lasting spiritual asset and a friendly relationship between the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung suggested that relevant agencies continue to pay attention, arrange appropriate resources, strengthen management, coordination of operations and exploitation of the project to ensure efficiency, worthy of the expectations of the people of the two countries.

On the Vietnamese side, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung pledged to always strive to promote the implementation of key cooperation projects that have been agreed upon, contributing to the common prosperity of both countries.
At the inauguration ceremony, Chief of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongsalith Mangnomek, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, Government and People of Lao ethnic groups, received this important project to continue managing, preserving and promoting its highest value; respectfully thanked and expressed gratitude to the Party, Government and People of Vietnam for contributing their efforts, intelligence and money to build this important project of historical significance.

The project is implemented by agreement between the two Parties, two Governments and two Politburoes of Laos and Vietnam as well as implementing the spirit of the 2025 Cooperation Plan Agreement and the Minutes of the 47th Conference of the Lao and Vietnam Intergovernmental Committees on the construction of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Park in Laos.
The park has an area of over 30,000m2, with a total value of over 340 billion VND, of which the counterpart capital of the Lao Government is 9 billion VND (equivalent to over 10 billion VND) and the non-refundable aid capital of the Vietnamese Government is 330 billion VND.
This is an iconic project, a cultural and spiritual gift from the Party, State and People of Vietnam sent to the Party, State and People of Laos on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Lao National Day and the celebration of the National Congress of the two Parties.
This will be a red address, promoting revolutionary education for younger generations to learn about the history of the two peoples, thereby nurturing the responsibility to continue and promote the special tradition of solidarity between the two countries.
