On the morning of September 15, in Hanoi, the General Department of Defense Industry held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025) and received the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

On September 15, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh signed the Decree to establish the Military Department under the Ministry of National Defense - the predecessor of the General Department of Defense Industry (GDND) today.
