This morning (February 5), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province organized the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" - Spring At Ty 2025, according to VNA.
Accompanying the General Secretary were Politburo members and Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; and Head of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
Accompanying him were Politburo member, General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; leaders of the Party Central Committee Office, the Office of the General Secretary, leaders of a number of central and local ministries, departments and branches.

On November 28, 1959, President Ho Chi Minh launched the Tet Tree Planting Day. Since then, the Tet Tree Planting Day has become a widespread mass movement, a beautiful feature of Vietnamese traditional culture.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van said that from 2022 to present, the whole province has planted 126,633 trees (exceeding 173.5% of the plan).
Of which, in 2024, 38,404 trees were planted (160% higher than the plan); 185 new tree-lined roads were formed; urban areas, industrial parks and clusters, rural residential areas, schools, hospitals, agency headquarters, historical-cultural relics were all active and well implemented in tree planting. The total budget for tree planting in the province to date is 92.6 billion VND.
Along with planting trees for the people, areas with crop structure conversion are also planted with a concentrated type of tree to create a highlight, green-clean-beautiful landscape, contributing significantly to protecting the ecological environment, and enhancing economic value in agricultural production.
At the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van said that the province strives to cover all traffic routes in the province with trees and ensure that it meets the advanced new rural criteria at the commune, district and provincial levels in the coming time.
Party committees at all levels, authorities, unions, agencies, units, and People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities deploy plans to plant trees in conjunction with agricultural development, tourism development, and the construction of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas;
Selecting suitable plants for each traffic route, urban areas, industrial zones and clusters, rural residential areas, schools, hospitals, agency headquarters, historical-cultural relics; organizing tree planting campaigns for all cadres, party members and people;
Implement well the annual tree planting plan, combining tree planting to create landscape, renovate mixed gardens and convert crop structure in areas in the approved planning.
Agencies, departments, branches and localities need to actively carry out tree planting work right from the first days of the year, strive to complete the 2025 Tree Planting Plan early, and at the same time continue to take care of the planted trees to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape; strengthen inspection, guidance and urging localities; agencies and enterprises to carry out tree planting work well according to the proposed Plan.
